Summer Field Technician

LARA requires Summer Field Technicians to assist with out summer research, demonstration and extension programming. Duties will include seeding, establishment, maintenance and harvest of research and demonstration trials, extension and public relations. The position will also involve data collection, operating and maintenance of machinery and occasional handling of livestock. The employment term will be from May 1, 2017 to August 31, 2017.

Job Qualifications

Students of agriculture and other natural science degree and diploma programs are encouraged to apply. Students in other fields other than natural sciences with a strong interest in agriculture will also be considered. Ideal candidates will have an interest in agriculture, a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and computer skills and a valid drivers' license.
