Farm Safety and Rural Emergency Preparedness
Emergencies can happen at any time and being prepared is the best bet to guarantee you and your families safety. Please join us on July 25 at the Ashmont Agriplex to learn how to improve your farm’s safety and how to be prepared for emergencies from tractor roll overs, ATV/OHV accidents, livestock care to natural disasters. Farm workers are now protected under the Alberta Workers Compensation Board. Come and learn who (and under what circumstances) shall be covered by WCB. As well as, who falls under optional coverage, the costs of coverage and what must be done when someone is hurt while working on the farm.
