Join us at the LARA office for our Fort Kent Summer Field Tour!
July 21, 2022 starting at 4:30 with a BBQ supper at 5 PM.
Check out all of our plots such as the early seeded winter cereals, liming project, regional variety trials, greenhouse and more!
Speakers include:
- Sheri Strydhorst, who completed her masters in faba bean agronomy and her PhD on agronomy and rotational benefits of pulse crops. She then worked as the executive director of the Alberta Pulse Growers before moving onto AAF in 2013, for 7 years. Sheri Strydhorst is now an agronomy research specialist with Alberta Wheat and Barley commissions.
- Keith Gabert, agronomy specialist at Canola Council of Canada. He has been around in the research world and will bring perspective to our liming trial.
- Megan Wanchuk – LARA’s newest team member who just completed her Masters in Range Science will share her passion for agriculture and knowledge of the ultra early cereals for drought mitigation.
